It’s the middle of summer mama’s, so I’m bringing you toddler summer treats to end the summer with.
Summer is every little kids favorite part of the year, besides Christmas (because of no school). As soon as Christmas is over, the countdown until fun begins.
Even though toddlers haven’t reached that point it’s only right to include them in the summer fun as well.
My toddlers, however will be starting “school” in the fall. Right now I’m prepping so that you guys will be able to join in on the experience. Now that they are 18 months I want to start really teaching them things.
My curriculum will mostly be fine-motor skills, vocabulary, and critical thinking. Then move into colors, letters, and numbers.
For now toddlers run free into the summer air playing with sprinklers, toy cars, and chalk if you dare. Outdoor time is the best of times for most toddlers.
Not only can our tots participate in the water and outdoor fun, but the cool tasty treats as well. Not just because they are delicious, but because it’s important for their health.
It’s important to keep our toddlers hydrated when they are exposed to heat for long periods of time.
Babies and toddlers have a higher risk of dehydration because they can lose fluids a lot more quickly.
Instead of constantly having my kids gulping water and diminishing their appetites, I went searching for some recipes that’s perfect for a hot day.

The twins current favorite is the watermelon slush, it’s so sweet, but doesn’t have any refined sugar (I add a touch of Splenda).
I’m going to experiment with that recipe and create my own virgin, I really think the kids would enjoy a mixed fruit flavored slush.
Make sure you subscribe so that you don’t miss when that recipe goes live.
Below is my top 5, make sure you comment below if you would love to see this list expanded.
